Description

Razak

Razak, known as the Endbringer and the One-Who-Devours, is the Empyral of Ruin. He is unique as he was not originally created by the All-Maker, instead being the primordial Darkness that has waged eternal war with the Light. The Maker, the avatar of the Light, ripped away a part of the Darkness and molded it into a being that would serve the balance. The resulting being shattered, and from the remains arose Razak, the one who will wipe the slate clean and begin the world anew.

He remains asleep until the conditions for the End-Times have been fulfilled, awakening to perform his singular duty. Despite his true body being placed in stasis, Razak is capable of interacting with the mortal plane through the fragments of his original being scattered across space-time.

Appearance

Razak takes the form of a heavily armored knight, the purple-grey metal forged into a dark and sinister design. The armor itself is composed of plates that appear skeletal in shape with a violet surcoat worn loosely over the armor plating. The horned helm is bereft of any facial design, instead being a sharply-angled visor with vertical visor slits, the slits forming “teeth.” The metal blends rough organic curves with harsh angular edges, possessing a malevolent and monstrous aesthetic.

Every being of Darkness that has threatened the mortal world is said to be the fragments of Razak taking form, attempting to fulfill their duty of devouring the old world. Such monsters in mortal history include the Dragon, the Basilisk, the Wyvern, the Drake, and the Hydra.

Personality

Once a part of the primordial Darkness in opposition to the Light, Razak is the “outsider” of the Assemblage, having little interaction with the rest of the Seraphim. Razak is the only Seraph that is responsible for the destruction of the world, rather than its protection; due to this, Razak is considered one of the truly “evil” Seraphim. Befitting his role as the Endbringer, he is singularly driven to accomplish his preordained task. Because of he is both a being of Darkness and a servant of the Light, his judgement is polarized, only seeing things in black and white.

Worship

Razak shows no concern for any of the cults that worship his name, since these cultists use his name to instigate violent uprisings and rebellions, to which he finds “unnecessary.” Razak is commonly depicted as a beast of Darkness.

Razak is the one associated with the Haatelis curse and the creation of the Revenants. As beings of Chaos, the primordial Darkness of which Razak was originally a part of, Revenants are said to be the true agents of ruin that Razak employs to bring about the end of the world.

Artifacts

One artifact is attributed to Razak: the End-Shard.

The End-Shard takes the form of a chunk of rock-like material that appears to be ice, molded in the symbol of Razak. Known as the “Herald’s Trumpet” and the “Shatterpoint,” the End-Shard is able to take the form of any weapon that the wielder desires. Most often, it takes the form of Razak’s ice sword, unbreakable and a conduit for Razak’s destructive forces.
